Benefits of Yoga and Meditation in daily life - celebrating International Yoga Day
Today is the International Yoga Day, and while peoples all around the globe are celebrating this day, I take the opportunity to pen down a few facts and it benefits which we can take away from this - years old regimen. In this blog post, I don't have the interest to lecture anybody rather I would like to continue the topic giving some quality reference in a light discussion format with my like-minded readers. My initial objective was to take sneak-peek on how the current generation is reacting to the concept of Yoga. Previously it was a common belief to me that the present generation is more restless and because of the age they are more inclined to more happening options some of them are like weight training at gym, aerobics or Zumba rather than a slow process practice like Yoga or meditation, but wait a minute; am I totally right?
Well, after I dig into the matter(taking help of certain inputs) from various sources which also includes social media opinion of many youths as well as public figures of the recent time, I found some alternative viewpoints which I am going to discuss with you now.
In a recent interview on Yoga, the singer turned politicians - Babul Supriyo has said that often on his foreign visit have seen how yoga is widely considered as a global wellness mantra. Talking about his own take on yoga, although admitting being a bit carefree about regular practice but at stress, he doesn't miss out to meditate as according to him it's the best stress healer without medical aid.
While Tollywood actress - Paayel Sarkar said on her Facebook page (on the occasion of this day) that she don't workout to lose weight rather her regular yoga practice helps her to remain flexible, strengthening itself from inside and body balance. She is also a believer that the daily routine age old regimen has worked wonder on her mental outlook which has a direct connection with the positive approach she put in her daily life.
Many young sports enthusiast who takes part at morning practices for cricket or football at maidan admitted that yoga is an essential to modern life as they believe it's the way to achieve harmony in the body. Many young age cricket trainees are advised in recent times by clubs to take part in the yoga session before participating any big matches, they say it enable to handle better pressure situations.Lastly, I add my prescription to conclude the discussion, meditation to me is the medium that helps me to know my inner-self more closely and make you a better human being over the period.
So, there remains no doubt on the acceptance of this generation about yoga and meditation, as I have seen them evaluating the topic in a very rational manner, and why not didn't our P.M., Sri. Narendra Modi said today in the event that Yoga is the only assurance to better - healthier life with zero budget cost, additionally, it also gives guarantee without an expiry date.
