For me, party season begins on Bonfire Night and ends on January 2nd! That's a long party! So I need a Mascara that will last me through the night and into the early morning all whilst making my eyes pop. Enter my top five eye popping mascara's!
I am a beauty blogger, so I have more mascara's than the average person needs to have, so I'm not telling you to buy all five of these, but I would definitely suggest picking which one sounds good to you and going with that one for the party season.
For Fluttery lashes, I would really recommend the Clinique Lash Power Fluttering mascara. The wand as you can see is full of different lengthed bristles which are spaced rather than compacted meaning you're less likely to get clumps and more likely to have fluttery lashes. Two coats of this and you're party ready.
For ladies with short, fine lashes, I would definitely recommend the Maxfactor Masterpiece Excess mascara. This is a new release from Maxfactor so you're likely to see it making it's way around a lot of Beauty Blogs. The brush on this is small and nobbly and if I'm completely honest, I wasn't all too sure about it at first glance. How wrong was I? So wrong! This really added volume and density from the root of my lashes and grabbed onto every single hair.
For day-time party lashes, I would recommend the Maybelline Mega Plus Volum Mascara. This has a similar brush to the Clinique mascara but for me the formula is a little different. This mascara separates your lashes and adds a bit of a curl to them. I would recommend 2 coats for a daytime event, or 3/4 for a night out.
If you're a no frills kinda gal, then the Smashbox Full Exposure mascara is for you. This was actually included in the Full Exposure palette and I love it. The brush is a pretty standard brush, but it isn't wirey at all, it feels soft and almost fluffy. This will definitely make your lashes stand out and is blacker than black in just one coat. Perfect.
Finally, if you want lashes that have the cherry, the cream and the sprinkles on top then the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara is 100% for you ladies! This has an hourglass shaped brush which is really unique to look at but more importantly, is really effective to use. This mascara will make your eyes pop and add a bit of lift and curl to your lashes without going clumpy. The only thing I don't like about it is the name. I'm not a prude in the slightest but I feel a little bit embarrassed saying the name of it out loud. Just sayin'.
