My Thoughts on BECCA x Jaclyn Hill's Champagne Pop

By Kwilliford @ExquisiteEczema
Yeah, yeah. I know. You are probably sick and tired of hearing and seeing this highlighter. I was not going to get it at first; I was going to be strong. Well, that didn't work. I am a huge Jaclyn Hill fan and her videos are the only ones I watch on YouTube. Anyways, I caved and ordered it. Well, I ended up loving it. It is quite possibly the perfect highlighter.

The shade and tone is utter perfection. It isn't too gold, too beige, or too vanilla. It is one of those products I can see working on a wide variety of skin tones.  Champagne Pop (how great is the name?) is described as "a soft white, gold shade with peachy pink undertones." I feel that pretty much hits the nail on the head.

On my skin, Champagne Pop gives such a lovely ethereal, yet subtle glow. It almost resembles sunlight lightly shining on the skin. I apply it on the tops of my cheekbones, above and below my brow bone, along the bridge of my nose and the inner corner of my eye. It makes a difference in all of the mentioned areas, but it really packs a punch in the inner corner of the eye.

The texture of Champagne Pop is wonderfully smooth and buttery. It blends well and never looks cakey. It is also versatile in that you can make it as subtle or as intense as you want.  Perhaps the best part is that Champagne Pop sticks around all day, even in high temps and disgusting humidity. And I have combination/oily skin. It should get some kind of award for that alone.
I had a very rare successful selfie session, which means I couldn't decide which picture I liked best. I am not trying to sound vain. It is just that this is such a rare occurrence that I cannot really process it. Lol.  Oh, and the random white flakes you see are pieces of pain that have yet to make it out of my hair. A few weeks ago, I painted the front porch and there are still traces of the paint hanging around.

This compact of utter shimmering perfection is limited edition and available at Sephora for $38. If you are on the fence about it like I was, don't hesitate. There is no telling how long it will be in stock.
Have you picked up (or will you get) Champagne Pop?
