Last week's Smell the Roses task was to write a positive note and leave it somewhere for a stranger to find.
I carried this index card around in my purse until I felt like leaving it somewhere. I was at Publix shopping for snacks and drinks on Saturday for Adam's birthday bonfire and decided that I wanted to go down the magazine aisle and leave it there. Lo and behold, I found a copy of Southern Weddings and left it in the front page.
I chose to leave it in a magazine, because personally, I find myself buying magazines when I need a little pick me up. And hello, if someone is planning a wedding, they're probably somewhat stressed out so finding this little note might brighten their day just a little bit :)
If I found a note like this somewhere, it would totally make my day. And the funny thing is, I wouldn't know who left it and they probably wouldn't know me personally, but the kind words would still mean so much to me. Just think about that while you're going about your day...words really have such a powerful impact, use them wisely to lift people up and encourage them, yeah?! Spread positivity.
