We have a mom in a dilemma on the group today as she battles with her ex-husband. The two children with their dad and their mom have them each weekend. I have watched from afar and I cannot remember a weekend when I have not seen her upset, at the hands of her ex.
It seems he will do and say anything, just to have a little dig. This is the latest and this mom would like your honest opinion.
The Mum Asks;
If you rang your ex-husband up and said “ I am collecting the children (aged 5 & 6yrs old) by train, so wrap them up warm tomorrow, as the other week all the youngest had on was a vest, fleece and lightweight coat on and was freezing stood waiting for the train”
Would you expect him to kick off?
I know my children.
They walk to school every day I told him, to which the ex-replied “yes but that’s a 7 minute walk not a 20 minute wait at a train station and waiting for the train and then another 10minuet wait for a bus & then the same back to you”
I had this yesterday so I told the ex if he wasn’t going to wrap them up warm and wait until I could get a warm coat for my youngest then they were not coming as I didn’t want them freezing .
He then asked the children if they were cold and my eldest said yes he was. To which the ex-replied ‘he said yes but he has a thick coat on what does that tell you?’
He refused to add an extra layer of clothing to them and said they are fine dressed as they are. I take hats, gloves and a scarf with me for both of them and my daughter is still cold. He thinks how she was dressed was fine, which I totally disagree.
Yes I may have over reacted but I’m not having them freezing n then my daughter has been all teary and quiet while she’s here as she’s been frozen stiff.
Then he said I was pathetic as I was kicking of saying they are cold and I refuse to collect them and he wouldn’t bring them.
So now I won’t see my children this weekend.
