My Current Beauty Essentials

5 beauty essentials for spring in Hong Kong. Spring has sprung in Hong Kong and it is nothing like back in England. In place of light breezes and soft sunshine, I deal with extreme air conditioning and humidity, and in place of easing out the tights and shorter skirts, I'm pretty much already in bare legs. To cope with this intense overnight change, here is the beauty bounty that accompanies my (nearly) everyday routine.
Ellovi Body Butter: When the team at Ellovi introduced me to their body butter, I was instantly interested. It's difficult to find aa really-good body butter that'll sink in to post-shower skin without you having to avoid leather sofas, and especially so when the heat starts to set in here. I've utterly fallen in love with this body butter - a little on the firmer and greasier side, it sinks in to the skin within a matter of minutes to leave your skin feeling moisturised, with a slight sheen. It smells amazing, like warm vanilla, and is made of 6 natural ingredients. A winner all around!! I also like to concentrate it in my elbows.
Etude House Face Conditioning Cream: In a similar vein, it's been so warm recently that I've already semi-retired the wearing of make-up. I recently picked up this Face Conditioning Cream (see my haul video here!) and it is the dream. A light and soft cream, this bad boy from Etude House 'smoothly conditions' the skin to boost your skin and prime it for make-up. Of course I'm currently not wearing much make-up on top of this, but it gives a brightening effect, smooths pores and has SPF 25. I then follow with a touch of concealer under my eyes, brow pencil, a slick of liner and mascara.
Etude House Drawing Brow Pencil: I'm mildly concerned that I can't find this online, but this is easily my favorite brow pencil of all time. Slightly waxy with a slanted nib, this pencil is the perfect match to my brows as I like a touch of a shade lighter and it makes it so easy to achieve perfect brows that last all day. Obsessed - if you're near an Etude House, make this a must.
The Saem Micro-Peel Soft Gel: Currently my skincare essential is this gel-based exfoliator. City-living often means that my skin doesn't feel as squeaky clean as I like so I've upped the exfoliating step in my routine. Three or four times a week, I'll follow my cleansing routine with this light formula. It has little exfoliating flakes that peel away dead skin cells ever so gently. My favorite.
Essie's Maxmillian Strasse Her & Ciate Speed Coat: My March mani has pretty much just consisted of this. I bought this Essie shade a few years ago and adore the muted green color that can lean a little blue-greige at times. Perfect for the office but also to match up with weekend outfits!
