Musse and Cloud

Musse and Cloud
With summer having made an early appearance in Sonoma County, all the locals have been flocking to the several outdoor events that have jump started the season. There was a music festival at the fairgrounds over the weekend, which left several of my favorite restaurants pleasantly empty.
To celebrate the warmer weather I have been reaching for my lighter weight items, copped styles, and cute strappy sandals. My Musse and Cloud wooden heels foot the bill perfectly; they're comfortable to stand in, and the platform makes them easy to wear all day long. They pair perfectly with flares, and I particularly love how they look with my new copped pair of Mother jeans. Plus they're super cute - who could resist the leather and wood combo?
Summer always seems to bring out the bohemian in me; I want to wear the loose billowy tops, and I dream of travel. Perhaps it's the longer days with the warmer nights, mingled with the sense of rebirth (my birthday is in the late summer, and I usually see it as the beginning of my 'new year'). Some of my fondest memories were made the in the summertime: such as traveling Europe with my mother, watching the 9:30 pm Parisian sunsets on the Pont des Arts, or sitting on my aunts rooftop looking up at the stars in Colorado in a town I can no longer remember. Summer to me means hot muggy days, heatwaves and lemonade, cramped train rides to exotic destinations, new friends, postcards to and from friends, and night blooming jasmine. But - I  have lived in SoCo long enough to know that summer isn't here yet...This is just a heatwave. Summer here starts late, and won't leave until mid-October!
