Music Monthly Picks - May 2014

With my background in music I often forget to actually write about music on my blog post, so I have decided that each month I'm simply going to select live music concerts that are happening.
Up and coming
Ethan Johns is performing at the Cookie Club Leicester.  The talent producer has worked with a number of artists but is now creating his own indie music and will be performing in the low key music hub of Leicester. 
Mainstream
The folky bluesy rocky Paolo Nutini is bringing sweet sounds to Manchester this month!  Which is one that you must see - seen him live before and he certainly puts on a good show.  
Genre Specific
Frontman William Doyle for East India Youth is heading to Birmingham.  The musician from Bournemouth is making his way to the Temple At The Institute to show off his electronic meet alternative talents!   

Cover act
Can't beat a bit of Guns and Roses... sorry I mean Guns 2 Roses!  Catch this rock cover act at Nottingham Rock City on the 25th May.  Hear some fantastic tunes from one of musics greatest... without the price tag! 

Old Skool
I do love the trip down memory lane concerts and it seems that they never seem to tire.  This months top pick is a good old favorite... Barry Manilow!  A classic you might say?!  He's performing at 02 Arena on the 26th May.
