"Mum, Can We Have A Fire-Pit?

Friends of ours recently acquired a fire-pit....something no one we know has, maybe it's not really a London or city thing! 
They were prompted to do so after summers sitting around the campfire & a much smaller man-made fire, there's something relaxing & quite comforting about it.
When we holiday in France, we love to see the large groups of families & friends who come down in the early evening, bringing huge picnics with them. They picnic at sunset & then light small beach fires & stay until late....it's just lovely.
My children would love a fire-bowl or chimenea....maybe we'll think about it for next summer after all the work on our house is completed.
