Mr. Porter’s end-of-season sale is always one of the most exciting sales events. Where else can you find marked-down Drake’s ties and John Lobb shoes being sold alongside discounted casualwear items from Aspesi, Camoshita, and Kapital?

This morning, they dropped prices on their spring/ summer inventory by 30% to 50%. For a thorough browse, go to their sale page and filter by sizes. That won’t capture some of the Japanese brands – where you sometimes have to size up – but it’s a nice way to serendipitously find things you may not have considered otherwise. I’ve also rounded up some of my favorite items below:

Outerwear: This shirt from Blue Blue Japan is listed as a simple top, but I think it makes for a nice, lightweight shirt jacket in the summertime (consider going up two sizes for a looser, more relaxed look). I also like these quilted jackets and wool field coats from Aspesi; parkas from Albam and Battenwear; topcoats and field jackets from AMI; Belstaff Roadmasters; Private White VC twin-track jackets; Freemans Sporting Club chore coats; Kics Document shirt jackets; and Jean Shop trucker jackets. Lastly, although it’s more of a fall/ winter piece, I love this Rocky Mountain Featherbed Christie. I bought one last winter and find it goes well with textured knitwear and jeans.

Shoes: A nice selection of heritage-styled mocs from Quoddy and Yuketen; sneakers from Vans, Maison Kitsune, Nike, Beams, Our Legacy, Converse, and Common Projects (including the low-top Achilles); Red Wing work boots; and RM Williams Chelseas. Also, surprising inclusions from John Lobb and JM Weston, which are hard to find on sale.

Shirts: Chimala work shirts can seem overpriced online, but they have some wonderful details in-person. I also like these Levi’s vintage-styled tees, Camoshita polos, patchwork Kapital shirts, Neighborhood thermals, Orlebar Brown linen popovers, RRL work shirts, Blue Blue Japan indigo shirts, Albam camp collar shirts, and Barena henleys (I wear the Barena all the time with leather jackets). For a good selection of basic, casual shirts, check Gitman Vintage, Alex Mill, and Gant Rugger.

Jeans and knits: Some nice denim options from Chimala, RRL, and Levi’s Vintage Clothing (I picked up the Levi’s 1967 505s and Chimala wide legs to try out). For accompanying knitwear, check out the upgraded sweatshirts from Todd Synder x Champion, Levi’s Vintage Clothing, Folk, and Reigning Champ.

Bags and cases: Backpacks from Atelier de L’Armee and Brooks England; document cases from APC and Maison Margiela. The document cases would make for nice laptop sleeves for people who only want to carry their computer to a cafe.

Accessories: Finally, ties and pocket squares from Drake’s and Rubinacci; cufflinks from Trianon and Deakin & Francis; Blackwatch umbrellas from Francesco Maglia; swim shorts from Orelebar Brown, scarves from Begg; Native American jewelry from Peyote Bird; and lots of sunglasses from Barton Perreira, Ray Ban, Eyevan 7285, Persol, and Illesteva. Oh, and Globerotter suitcases, although I like their more traditional colors better.
