Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain said that his party accepts the mandate of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) open-heartedly and congratulate them over their remarkable victory in the May 11 polls.

While addressing to party’s coordination committee members in Karachi on Wednesday, MQM chief expressed hope that Nawaz Sharif, who is set to become Prime Minister for the third time, will do justice with the country.

Altaf Hussain also congratulated Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan for his party’s victory in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and prayed for the quick recovery of cricketer-turned-politician, who is undergoing treatment in Shaukat Khanum Hospital after falling from lifter during an electoral rally on May 7.

MQM chief hoped that other political parties will also accept the mandate of MQM, which was alleged for massive poll rigging in Karachi by several political parties, including PTI, Jamaat-i-Islami and Mohajir Qaumi Movement.

Altaf Hussain said they have filed complaints in Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) against re-polling in 43 polling stations of NA-250, adding Sindh government has also apologized over re-polling on these polling stations.

He appealed Coordination Committee to call off the sit-in of his party’s supporters until the decisions for their complaints are announced.

Altaf Hussain also apologized to media for any statements he may have made out of passion.
