Verdict: Funzilla

Story: Shin Godzilla starts with a disturbance in Tokyo bay causing an eruption in the water and a leak in the underground tunnels, with video footage showing some form of giant creatures the government must come together to figure out what this creature is. Moving into a River the creature causes even more damage destroying anything that gets in its path. The creature having the ability to evolve2 becomes the icon of the monster movie world as it is discovered to be Godzilla a product of the reckless behavior of the business disposing of toxic waste. This leads to all the questions about how to stop the creature from destroy anymore land.

Shin Godzilla is the latest version of the Godzilla story, it comes off feeling as a crazy monster movie rather than what Hollywood gives us, this is my first Japanese version of Godzilla so I can’t compare to anything they have made before. I did find the creature coming off very weird to start with before it became the Godzilla I was used to, certain destruction scenes look great while others well let’s not talk about them.

Overall: This was pure fun monster movie that you can enjoy.
