I just finished reading Torre DeRoche's new true sailing story about cruising off into the South Pacific on a small sailboat - Swept: Love with a Chance of Drowning - a really delightful book I'd recommend for anyone who dreams of sailing warm oceans. Or if you are getting ready to go long-term cruising yourself, make sure you have Beth Leonard's bible of cruising, The Voyager's Handbook. New to sailing? Robby Robinson's International Marine Book of Sailing will tell you everything you need to know in a well-written and not overdone manner. Or prefer a novel about sailors? You might be one of those who likes Mitch Davies' Better Than Ever, Again.
