What a busy, long weekend! I was looking forward to some time to chill, but other than a much-needed two-hour nap on Saturday, I really didn't get much rest. However, I had some pretty exciting things take place - posts on it soon! But this meant that I chose to sleep in this morning instead of figuring out an outfit. This is pretty much what I wear on a weekend when puttering around the house, taking Emerson to the playground, maybe going to the grocery store. I prefer to dress up more for work, but I also prefer to have a few brain cells working at the office, so I chose function over fashion today!
I don't believe I have worn these shoes yet on the blog, but gosh do I adore them. They have a wooden wedge of that perfect height that elongates the leg but is really wearable all day. I love them with pants and jeans, but they also look so cute with skirts and dresses. The bright citrus orange color of the Lillybee Martina is perfect for spring and summer and is an unexpected neutral for most colors in my wardrobe. I love the look of the braided suede straps and know these shoes will be getting a lot of wear over the next few months!
