Monday Morning Bragging

By Xmarkm @matthews_mark
Four Monday Morning Brags.  But one of them is a lie.  Can you guess which one?

1. "Chasing the Dragon" is Number 1
My running book, “Chasing the Dragon:  Running to Get High”  was released to a freebie run, and was quickly number 1 in two different categories. Monday Morning BraggingOne reviewer noted:“This book is everything I want in a book about running. It teaches me things I didn't know, it reminds me why I run, and it makes me want to lace up my shoes as soon as I power off the Kindle. Even better, it does all this while making me laugh. Mark Matthews is one of the best runner/writers working today.” A cleaner version was uploaded on Sunday, a paperback is ready for launch, and the freebie run is good until midnight tonight.2. "On the Lips of Children" can't be put down

My latest novel from Books of the Dead Press was reviewed by Randy Step, co-owner of Running Fit, the largest running store in Michigan. Running Fit was voted as one of the top 50 Running stores in the country. Here’s what he had to say;

“This is a very dark read that will haunt you on your next dark run! Not for everyone ... but I could not put it down! Mark nails the runner's mentality and how a hard run at a time you should be tapering can lead to more trouble than ruining your race, that is, if you think getting eaten by homeless cannibals is a worse fate than blowing a personal best! ”

Oh, the irony, since I have heard the man at many events mutter his famous words: “Run fast and take chances.”  3. "Zombie Dash" gets some LoveMy other freebie on Amazon, Zombie Dash, was reviewed by the number 1 ranked reviewer on Goodreads. The review was mixed, but incredibly creative, and thus got all sorts of attention. Check it out.

4. I Saved A Small CountryI am back to running again! I have conquered the ultra-powerful strain of virus that had invaded my body and was living in my lungs.  I'm not 100%, but it's coming.Apparently, this same infection has wiped out the small country of DwitzelvaniaI know this because a a helicopter landed on my roof, and scientists in Hazmat suits who spoke a strange language came searching for me.   I am patient zero! And as a survivor, my blood has been siphoned to create a new antivirus. The country of Dwitzelvania has been saved.Pretty cool huh.
