“Cindy and Antony wanted to escape the traditional local weddings in Lebanon and chose to tie the knot in the beautiful island of Mykonos. In September 2016, they planned three days of celebrations attended by their family and friends, whom traveled from different corners of the world to share this special moment with them. The festivities started out with a day in Kalo Livadi, one of the loveliest beaches of the island. It was a great start to enjoy the local sea food, the blue Aegean Sea, the Mediterranean sun and the golden sand. Later in the evening, the couple hosted a pre-wedding dinner in Uno con carne, an Argentinean style steakhouse housed in a former open-air cinema. After the dinner, the guests enjoyed a stroll in Mykonos Town, a maze of little alleyways lined with boutiques, jewelers, souvenir shops, cafes, restaurants and art galleries.”

“The next day, the duo married in the Catholic church of the Lady of the Rosary, beautifully located in the heart of Town between the little Venice neighborhood and the famous windmills. The bride and her father walked from the windmills to the church preceded by a swarm of flower girls and boys scattering petals along the bridal path much to the amusement of tourists. After her grand entrance to Ave Maria by Gounod, the ceremony began with an opening prayer by the priest, naming the couple and asking for God’s blessings on their wedding day. Family and friends emotionally and tearfully witnessed the pair taking their vows and declaring their eternal commitment to each other. The newlywed were showered with rice and petals as they stepped out of the church and were caught in the euphoria of the moment as guests surrounded them to offer their warmest wishes and congratulations.”

“Following the ceremony, family and friends arrived at the three villa complex that was rented especially for the occasion. The villas were built in Cycladic tradition with minimal white aesthetics, but with a modern twist. A décor of swirling purples, pinks and fuchsias exploded against the serenity of Greece’s blues and whites; a contrast of colors which blended with both elegance and passion. Each of the Heaven’s Archangels received a seat at a dinner table, in a celestial theme befitting of this stylish reception: the wedding angels. Guests savored welcome drinks and delicious pass around canapés to the sounds of entertaining lounge music. Suddenly, to their amazement, the bride and the groom glided down from the skies in a helicopter, launching the evening’s proceedings with style and panache.”

“After dinner, a live duet entertained the attendees with romantic ballads followed by more upbeat tunes which led everyone to the dance floor. Then the DJ took over till the late hours of the night. Dancing, music and champagne punctuated the lively party. At midnight a Greek band, two men and one woman, made a stunning appearance by breaking plates and firing up the dance floor with traditional Greek music to the delight of guests. Spectacular fireworks brightened the night sky as the crowd cheered up the newlywed. The latter concluded their party by slicing their wedding cake side by side.The weekend finished off with a day at the cosmopolitan Nammos beach restaurant, one of the island’s most glamorous social scenes. In real Mykonian party traditions, the guests danced and celebrated as the sun set down creating beautiful memories that will last forever.”
