Missing People
Adam writes…
I spent last Friday afternoon in the wonderful company of the folk from the charity Missing People.
Last Friday was their office outing and they joined me on a Pub Quiz Walk in Covent Garden.
Missing People is the UK's only charity dedicated to supporting families of those who have gone missing. Around 250,000 people go missing in the UK each year.
Needless to say the Missing People charity does great work. Their staff and volunteers listen in confidence, and support missing people and their families to explore their options and, where possible, to reconnect. For those left behind specialised support is provided to ease the heartache and confusion, and help search for their missing loved ones.
You can support Missing People in a variety of ways:
A £5 donation helps respond to an urgent call from a missing child.
A £30 donation helps pay for a specialised counseling session for the mother of a missing child.
A £100 donation helps pay for an extra person to man the Helpline overnight, ensuring every urgent call for help is answered.
For information on all the ways in which you can support this great cause, please visit www.missingpeople.org.uk
You can follow Missing People on Twitter @missingpeople A London Walk costs £9 – £7 concession. To join a London Walk, simply meet your guide at the designated tube station at the appointed time. Details of all London Walks can be found at www.walks.com.
