A recent survey sponsored by Bankers Life and Casualty Company Center for a Secure Retirement came up with a list of the 25 Best Cities for Seniors 2011... and the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul came out on top!!

People who live here aren't surprised and Baby Boomers looking to relocate are discovering us and moving in to join us. I seem to be working with more and more Boomers moving into the Twin Cities all the time... and some are even 'boomerang' Boomers who moved away and are moving back because they realized how much they miss family, friends and the quality of life in the Twin Cities.

To come up with their list of best cities for senior living, 50 metropolitan areas were rated based on nine categories that are key to seniors’ quality of life: healthcare, transportation, housing, social, crime, environment, economy, health and longevity, and spiritual life.

Interesting to note that Arizona and Florida are both missing from the top 25 list... apparently continuous warm weather only goes so far. Personally, I think it is overrated... I love all 4 seasons!
