Zoya's new "Ornate" Holiday Collection came out recently and I couldn't wait for them to be in stores, besides there was a shade I really wanted to get that my Ulta never stocks. I had a coupon for a cancelled backorder too, so I bit the bullet and placed a small order! From the Holiday collection, I only picked up 2, although I now want at least one more when Ulta finally stocks them! All of these polishes are perfect for the holidays so I'm super excited!!!
I picked up "Blaze" which Zoya describes as, "a full coverage, cool-toned medium mulberry red with a high concentration of micro fine diamond holographic glitter." It is very a unique shade mainly because of the holographic glitter. It is not really glittery; it has more of a 3D effect.
Next up from the "Ornate" Collection is "Aurora" which Zoya describes as "a full coverage, medium sugarplum purple flecked with a high concentration of micro fine diamond holographic glitter". This one is really pretty and also quite unusual. It also looks almost 3D.
Finally from Zoya, I ordered "Blair" which is an older shade. It is described as, "Cool, blackened red with subtle hints of purple and smooth metallic shimmer". It's a great oxblood-like shade that doesn't look black - so just what I was looking for!
Next, I ordered "Two Fingered Salute" from ButterLondon. This shade is really surprising and very pretty. It is basically a dusty sage, but it has this copper shimmer to it that looks stunning when the light hits it! It is a Nordstrom exclusive, but is also available from ButterLondon. I ordered mine from Nordstrom because they offer free shipping on everything!
I picked up "Flash Black" from Layla's Hologram Effect Collection. I really love holographic polishes and have been eyeing this one for a while. I had a $5 off a $15.00 purchase and figured there's no time like the present! I haven't swatched this one yet, but I have another holographic polish from Layla and it is truly holographic which is awesome!
Finally, I found OPI's new "Skyfall" Collection and grabbed "The World is Not Enough". A lot of the collection is quite beautiful, but most of the colors were similar to others I already own. I have heard that "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" is a pretty close dupe for Zoya's "FeiFei" as well, but I can't verify this since I didn't pick up the OPI shade.
