Alyssa Gangeri's new book Mimi's Adventures in Baking Gingerbread Men is a great book for the Christmas season. This is a new twist with childrens books, because it actually provides the recipe. So kids can read, and cook at the same time. How cool is that? This is something that I love about her books.
This book follows a Grandmother and her grandaughter as they make Gingerbread men. Not only is it a story but kids can actually MAKE the cookies. You do not see books like this for kids... My kids love this book...I would recommend everyone get it :-) Make it apart of your holiday tradition.

Since graduating from the Culinary Institute of America she has worked for famous chefs and elite companies such as the Ritz Carlton, Tom Colicchio, Norman Van Aken and Gray Kunz.
