Microsoft Beats Sony, Sells More Xbox One Consoles Than PS4

Posted on the 16 December 2014 by Nrjperera @nrjperera

Xbox One or PS4? Asking to decide between these two consoles is like asking to choose between vanilla or chocolate ice cream. But, Microsoft made things easier for gamers to pick their console over Sony’s PS4 in the holiday season by cutting the price of the console by $50 on Black Friday.

This has helped Microsoft to boost its Xbox One console sales numbers to 1.2 million, taking over the throne for the best-selling console from Sony PS4. The numbers were revealed by a NPD market research conducted during the holiday period. Although, it has failed to reveal the numbers for Sony’s PS4 sales.

“Response to the holiday lineup of games on Xbox One was incredible, with Xbox One fans buying more games in November in the U.S. than any other gen eight platform and enjoying over 357 million hours of gameplay globally,” said Mike Nichols, Corporate Vice President for Xbox marketing.
