Messi And Co. Keep Pace

By Simplyfutb01 @simplyjuan11

Lionel Messi scored off a penalty kick and Andrés Iniesta added a goal as Barcelona continued to maintain a six-point gap behind Real Madrid as they defeated Athletic Club 2-0 at the Camp Nou. Messi’s goal put him just one behind legendary Real Madrid goalscorer Ferenç Puskas for 15th place on the league’s all-time list.

The goal from the spot was Lio’s 36th of the season putting him one behind Cristiano Ronaldo in the race for the Pichichi. Barcelona will now focus on the Champions League return leg encounter against AC Milan on Tuesday and then will head to Zaragoza where they will face relegation-compromised Real Zaragoza at La Romareda.
