Merry Christmas

We’ll be celebrating Christmas early this year, well twice actually. We’ll be flying back to the States to celebrate Christmas with Carl’s family so instead of lugging all of Santa’s little gifts north he’ll be making a special trip to the Caribbean this weekend. Lucky kiddos!

We like to keep things simple on the boat. There will be no 10’ Christmas tree or knick knacks located in every corner of the boat. We picked out a lovely tree at the beach the other week at the bargain basement price of FREE! We spent an afternoon painting shells to hang. Even a dead bug shell made the tree. We found some tinsel at a local grocery store for $1 and picked up some led lights in Tortola for $5. The girls are excited to know that we’re leaving the big hatch open for Santa and we’ll be leaving out carrots and cookies – some traditions will never die no matter where you live.

We’re getting the best of both worlds this year, a summer Christmas and a winter Christmas (hopefully with snow).
