Stanford Hospital Life Flight takes off after being displayed at the 2009 San Mateo County Disaster Preparedness Fair. This MBB/Kawasaki BK117C1 operates from the Palo Alto airport and is the oldest air medical transport service in California. The BK 117C1 was the last product of a joint venture between Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm (MBB) of Germany and Kawasaki of Japan.
