Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer

By Bbeautylove @bbeautylove

Hi everyone!

Today I am talking concealer. I know I talk a lot on the blog about how to treat and eradicate dark circles but I realised I rarely mention products to cover them up. Yes I love Bobbi Brown and Rimmel for their light boosting ways but I have tried a new one recently that has become a huge favorite that I want to share with you.

The Dream Lumi Highlighting Concealer from Maybelline is, in a word, amazing. I had heard many people talk about this but something just didn’t make me rush out and buy it. Then I saw it one day and something just made me take the plunge and try it (as my Rimmel one is pretty much empty and I am saving my BB for other imperfections).

What I love about this product is the fact that it looks so natural on the skin yet it really brightens up the area under the eyes. I have the shade 01 Ivory which is a perfect match for me. Quite cool in tone, it has good coverage and illuminates without using shimmer or glitter. I also find the consistency of this amazing. It is a gel-based formula meaning it feels lightweight on the skin and never becomes dry, cakey or creases. It lasts all day too, which is amazing for a drugstore concealer.

I also like that it comes with a brush applicator (very YSL Touche Eclat) and it works very well as a natural skin highlight elsewhere on the face such as the brow bone, cupid’s bow, cheekbones and around the nose.

Although the color range for this isn’t spectacular, the price point is amazing so if you can find a shade to suit you I would highly recommend picking one up on your next shopping trip.

I haven’t tried much from Maybelline for a long time, as I often feel uninspired by a lot of their products and packaging but since giving this a go (and another product which I shall be posting about later this week) I am feeling a lot more positive about the brand and I will definitely be trying more. My new beauty staple.

Available from Boots, Superdrug, supermarkets and online. Priced £6.99.
