Black Creek Fiddlers' Reunion http://www.oldsongs.org/blackcreek/index.shtml Old-timeAltamont, NYConfirmed / (11999) / The annual Black Creek Fiddler’s Reunion takes place every Memorial Day weekend at the Altamont Fairgrounds just west of Albany, NY. As a kickoff to the summer festival season, this event features abundant camping with heated bathrooms and hot showers, banjo, fiddle, and guitar workshops, a slow jam workshop for beginners , and of course great jams! The social highlight of the weekend is the Saturday evening Pot Luck Dinner followed by jamming in the heated barn and numerous nooks and crannies until the cows come home! This event, along with the Fiddling Bear – Lake Genero event, have become the bookends of the summer festival season for those in the Northeast who appreciate old time fiddle tunes.
