Maxim--A Poem About an Inspiring Breast Cancer Survivor

I wrote Maxim--A Poem while witnessing the brave soul of a dear cousin of mine as she battled breast cancer. She inspired me to appreciate my life and face all challenges with faith and trust. She never gave up;she never gave in. Even after battling cancer that took the life of her first husband and stole the childhood from her son, she still faced her own struggles with a smile on her face.
Can you do that? I dare say that I can't. There are many times smiling is the farthest thing from my mind, yet she did it. Amazing grace. It's simply that, and simply something I strive to have.
