The latest single from Cali’s Max and the Moon is very much alive. “All I Know” throbs with energy, gliding along on a staccato piano riff and jaunty synths, while the harmonies insist on vibrancy and warmth and draw an “ooh”-reaction at the bridge. The band’s description mentions influence from The Beach Boys, and this is most obvious in their affection for melding harmonies with perfect pop panache, ever exerting a sort of California laid-back playfulness throughout.
