Motherhood has brought it's incredibly rewarding times as well as it's challenges and hurdles so far. The next few posts I'm focusing on new mamas and what to wear post-baby. Getting dressed after a newborn needs to be easy and practical but also make you feel good. Clothes won't fit quite the way they did before baby and that's ok because your body just did an incredible thing...grow and birth a little human! There will be lots of spit-up so you'll want pieces that wash well. Fashion is important to me so I needed to find that balance and I realized that putting together cute, comfy outfits helped me feel a little more like my old self. In the kitchen but on my way out the door, this outfit pairs a comfy cheetah print sweatshirt with a pair of versatile winter-to-spring green chinos...both from The Gap. For running errands and being out and about with Maverick, I added this statement necklace from Laila Rowe. Earrings: Tory Burch; Flats: Mia; Purse: Big Buddha (a fave for stylish yet affordable handbags). Also, if you choose to breast feed, I layer almost every outfit with the Gilligan & O'Malley nursing tanks from Target. They're easy, comfy, affordable (so stock up on every color!) and help smooth things out.
