Making a Scrapbook is Good for the Heart

Yesterday was Saturday,  and I had it all to myself. I woke up inspired by a conversation I had with a friend the evening before, that followed by a thank you note the morning after, which said “thank you for a nice evening out. it did my heart good.”

This ignited an idea that led me to create this blog series, entitled “it did my heart good.”

The time spend talking and eating together 12 hours prior, did my heart lots of good actually!  If you’re looking for comfort,  inspiration and joy in the little things in life, I hope you will find some of that here.

I felt a surge of comfort and creativity in making my first scrapbook of heartfelt stories from the past 24 months, months full of unforgettable memories! All in all, I spend 24 hours working, of which 10 sleeping – it does the heart a lot of good! I woke up re-energized and excited to start the final stage of the project: sealing the memories on the papyrus pages & taping two stems of my lavender flower plant on the outside heart shaped cover. And voila! My first ever home-made scrapbook.

The entire process was a happy one and it did my heart good <3

About Saturday: Did you know that the Romans named Saturday “dies Saturni” Saturn’s Day, no later than the 2nd century for the planet Saturn.
