Makeup Monday: Winter Skin and Hair

By Fitnspicy @fitnspicy

Sorry for the break last week, we were back from our amazing trip to Colorado and I took a little more time for me. I barely checked email! It was fantastic. I am working on a post for Thursday and I can’t wait to share a few pictures. Our trip was perfect.

Even though the trip was amazing, travel and altitude did a number on my skin. My hands and feet were cracking, my hair was in desperate need of a mask and I am pretty sure my body would have soaked up an entire bottle of lotion. The joy of living in a cold climate usually means dry skin! These are a few of my go to products to treat that dryness.

Lather AHA Hand Cream ($18) this was in a monthly subscription box and I have used it every single day. It absorbs quickly and really helps with dry, crack hands.

Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment. This was an Ulta find and it helps my fine blonde hair grow. Seriously! It’s also a great treatment for dry hair. I’ve been using it once a week and my hair has never looked better. And its $12, but you can usually find it on sale.

Chapstick Hydration Lock, at $3 this is a bargain find but it is super moisturizing and I put it on before bed for nice soft lips. I got this in my Birchbox last fall but I have seen it at Target.

Tarte Maracuja Oil. When I bought a value set with a Tarte eye shadow palete I get a sample of the oil. And while I am not normally one to get dry skin on my face this has been a lifesaver this winter.  A few drops before bed and I wake up glowing (it I got enough sleep).

And the holy grail moisturizer that I use on everything and even put on Henry. Plain old coconut oil, it does wonders. I’ve been using Nutiva because I love the consistency but any brand will work.

Winter Skin

Any finds you need to share about Winter Skin? I love hearing others’ remedies?

The winner of the Jawbone Move was Katie C, I will email you. Sorry for the delay on picking a winner!
