Makeup Monday: Travel Essentials

By Fitnspicy @fitnspicy

Less than a week until we leave on our trip! The countdown is on. I have my carry on bag packed (we don’t check bags), our passports, visas and other important documents are all ready and I have my Kindle app full of books to read. Is it Friday yet?

Since we don’t check bags I try to keep my beauty products to a minimum. I have my clear toiletry bag that never even gets unpacked. I’ve been using the same one for years and have refillable bottles, travel sized face wash, eye makeup remover, and a few mini lotion bottles ready to go. I have it ready to go through security (I have TSA Pre Check but will need to pull it out internationally) My makeup bag has a spot in my suitcase and I reduced as much as possible to make sure my hair brush fit in there too. No space going to waste!

In my normal everyday make up use I love a good palette but they take up so much space! Thankfully Too Faced came out with one that is small enough to still fit within my bag and give me variety in my looks. I am bringing the pinks and lighter browns. I get multiple eye and cheek colors.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer

This could be a dupe for a much higher priced concealer. It’s that good! I would put it up there with MAC.  And it’s under $10.

Sonia Kashuk brushes. A good brush set is essential and they can be hard to find! Henry (our pig) loves to steal my brushes and eat them and that’s an expensive habit that he has. I’ve gone through at least a set. I’ve now moved them higher in the cabinet but he is amazing at finding things. With his latest brush snack I had to replace a few and found a great deal on a Sonia Kashuk set at Target.

Brush Couture

I’ve also been using sample size mascaras. They take up a lot less space and I get a good variety through Birchbox & Ipsy. My current favorite is Smashbox Full Exposure.
