Make Your Own Cleaning Kit – Fun for You, Good for the Nature

By 1258miles @1258miles

For some reason, cleaning up my flat has been extremely hard for the last few weeks. I normally have about one night without anything to do each week and I usually try to use this time for cleaning/tidying up. My mother is the most organized person I know, she’s always cleaning. Her way of accessorizing is always having a pretty dish cloth in her hand. So when ever I feel lazy about cleaning I keep hearing her voice in my head. I watched a documentary “No Impact Man” only recently and however I didn’t find is as interesting as i thought, it did get me thinking about the environment a bit more. The biggest impact coming from cleaning products are the chemicals but also the packaging is often an issue. Not many of us have thought that when we let the chemicals into nature they end up in the food chain and may be eventually eaten by us. So, I started to look up how to make my own cleaning products. Because I was preparing to clean, I actually didn’t have to clean just yet! A win-win. I’m excited about my brand new home made cleaning kit, but since I’ll be travelling later this week I won’t have time to try it before next week (bummer). This was something I made:

Non Toxic Cleaning Kit

The supplies needed:

Baking soda
Washing soda
White distilled vinegar
A good liquid soap or detergent
Tea tree oil (also good for your skin!)
6 clean spray bottles
2 glass jars
