Maggie Holmes Design Team : Handmade Cards

By Jcchris
Handmade cards are really fun & easy to create. Often times, it is something I would create when I wanted to be creative but having limited crafting time. This is when I choose to work on a smaller canvas. Working on smaller canvas can be really fun. Sometimes that will spark amazing ideas for bigger projects like scrapbooking layouts. And today, let me share with you 2 handmade cards I created just by featuring 3 products: ephemera die-cuts, phrase stickers and glittered acetate. Maggie Holmes Design Team : Handmade Cards I began with a white base. Then I adhered glittered acetate as background. Once the background is adhered to the base, I stuck the paper rosette in the middle and slowly layered the other ephemera die-cuts all around it. Completed the cards with sentiments. Easy peasy and yet look pretty! Maggie Holmes Design Team : Handmade CardsDo you notice that these handmade cards are somewhat similar? The "sketch" I had in mind for the first card led to the second card, where I added couple more layers to it. Maggie Holmes Design Team : Handmade CardsMaggie Holmes Design Team : Handmade CardsAbsolutely love how the glittered acetate creates a subtle background against the bright coloured ephemera die-cuts.
