#lyf American Adventure - Day Seven

I'd set my alarm for 5:30am to get my flight to Nashville, I thought that was pretty early myself but oh no, I was woken an hour ahead of schedule by a phone call from PPI wankers! Thanks. Couldn't get back to sleep so I ended up having a shower and got the bus to the airport.
Even the airport supports local businesses, there's no Starbucks or McDonalds, instead there's Java coffee, Amy's Ice Cream and I got a breakfast taco from The Salt Lick's, pulled pork in the morning, an odd sensation.
Dunno why but I always finds airport security a tense situation, it's not like I'm smuggling coke up my bum or owt. It should have been a relatively short journey to Nashville via Dallas but the weather put a stop to that, delaying my flight out of Austin by two hours. Obviously it wasn't only my plans that had been buggered, I'm always happy I don't work in customer services at times like this, America is great with customer service and those people have to deal with so much shit out of their hands. My connecting flight to Nashville had changed so I asked somebody in a uniform who sent me to the wrong terminal, thanks, I looked myself and found the right one, which insisted on being delayed too!
Needed to fill my belly, tret me'sen to a McDonalds milkshake, vanilla. They up the stakes over here, you got cream and a fucking cherry on top! Mind blown. There was a hair dressers opposite my terminal, considered getting a Skrillex (100% messing). Dallas airport seems like a different world to Austin, every shop is a chain and a strong majority of the men look like George Bush, crazy that it's the same state. People look at me funny here.
Although it was annoying arriving in Nashville over three hours late it was nice to have some down time, to just sit and read. Chose AM as my soundtrack into Nashville, had to wait an age for the bus downtown. Not cool, it has been a long day. So the bus arrived and dropped me off in Downtown, I asked a police man for direction, he wasn't very helpful, I was beginning to miss Austin. I headed in the right direction, I was almost there and a storm happened. I got wet but I was more concerned about my laptop, camera and the fact that I didn't have a clue where  I was going, it was getting dark and there wasn't any taxis. I asked for directions a few times, I knew I was near but the rain wouldn't stop so I ended up finding another hotel and jumping in a taxi. Turned out I had been right next it before. As I got out of the taxi I got one guy hustling me for money.
Found a note in my suitcase from the airport staff saying that they had searched my bag, thought everything looked like it had been folded properly! Seems like the rain has damaged my laptop. The hostel is nice, it's huge, only two of us in a four bed room, bit awks.
Didn't leave the room all night. Grumpy. Expected to check in about half one, turned out to be after seven for fucks sack! Waste of a day. But I did organize my stuff which perked me up, that is the only downside to this holidaying, my brain can't handle living out of a suitcase.
I miss Austin.
