With August being their Birthday month, there were high expectations for the August edition of the Lust Have It beauty bag and it definitely didn’t disappoint! After a couple of issues at the beginning of the year, LHI seems to really have gotten their groove back as their latest beauty bags have been fantastic.
For those of you unfamiliar with Lust Have It, Lust Have It is a monthly beauty subscription box with the inclusion of 5-6 deluxe sized beauty items, priced at only $19.95 a month but if you use the code ‘TRIED1’ you can receive $5 off your first box!
This Birthday bag contains 5 full size products from brands we haven’t seen in past bags (with the exception of Ulta3 which was featured in the Feb 2015 bag) which is amazing because the whole purpose of these types of subscription boxes is to allow you to try products and brands you wouldn’t normally go out and buy!
From Red Carpet Kolour, they’ve included their Body Glow which is an absolutely fabulous product to use on your skin when going out as it provides a slight blur and gorgeous glow, just like the celebrities have when walking down the red carpet. Subscribers had the option of choosing between a light, medium or tan shade and I have a full review of the product here.
Coincidentally, I am actually trialing quite a few products from the Reed brand and this month, LHI have included their Orange and Poppy Seed Scrub which exfoliates the skin really nicely whilst leaving it with a moisturised finish. I’ll have my review up on the brand and its products very soon.
Mellow Cosmetics is a brand I haven’t tried or really heard about so I’m excited to give this brand a go. Their Baked Eyeshadow and Mineral Auto Twist Liner were featured this month. The eyeshadow is particularly gorgeous (I received the shade Plum) and on first swatch, it is beautifully pigmented with a stunning finish. I’ll definitely be featuring this shadow on the blog, in the future.
The final product in this month’s bag is a Volume and Length Mascara from Ulta3, with the product being a new release for the brand. If you’ve seen my 15 mascara wardrobe, then you’d know I do love testing out mascaras!
