This F-35 test aircraft flew from Edwards AFB to participate in this year’s LA County Airshow. First flown in 2006, after years of delays and cost overruns, the U.S. Air Force declared the F-35A combat ready on 2 August 2016. This aircraft, AF-01, was the fourth aircraft to be produced (2009) with a forecast total of 1,763 for the US Air Force. Nikon D7100 w/18-200mm, processed with Aperture.
