Little Tikes Playhouse Review

By Maxwell1212 @MummyToTheMax
As many of my readers know, I often get some lovely products to review and I am always grateful for these wonderful opportunities however one opportunity that arose last month has left a huge smile on one little boys face. The smile is on Maxwell's face and it is all down to Asda kindly sending Maxwell an amazing Little Tikes Playhouse.
Last month Asda contacted us to ask us if we would like to review something from their garden toys range, we were able to choose from many products, from many brands. We were given the option to choose from trampolines, swings, playhouses, sandpits and even garden games. All the products looked wonderful and I have to say they were all very well priced, some products had money off offers on and some were in Asdas amazing 2 for £10 range. As soon as I saw a little playhouse for Maxwell I knew it would be something he would love to review and would go on and spend a lot of time using so we requested for one to be sent to us.

Within a few days we were sent the Little Tikes Playhouse, the delivery was fast and the delivery drivers were very helpful. Immediately we went about putting it up. At first I thought it would take us hours to assemble it as it came in a huge box however it took us only a matter of minutes and it was extremely easy to put together. The playhouse came with clear instructions and all of the 4 plastic sides, as well as the roof and door fitted together well.
Once up Maxwell was overjoyed and decided to spend most of his day in his new little house. Maxwell loved some of the features of the house, including the opening door and the opening windows. He also liked the "sun" which is a sticker on the outside of the house. Once Maxwell had familiarised himself with his new surroundings he decided to make it a little more homely and decided to take some of his garden toys into his new house which I thought was very cute.

As a parent I was thrilled with the house. I adored the window design which allowed Maxwell to open windows easily however I was also impressed with the quality of the house. It was clear to see that the product was made to last over time and it was not something which would fade, break or something which Maxwell would grow out of in a matter of months.
Since having the playhouse we have made one slight improvement. As a parent I often worry about Maxwell's safety in the garden and I was not keen on the fact that the playhouse did not have any flooring. I was aware if the flooring was plastic, in wet weather Maxwell would end up slipping around. I was also aware if I put something plastic over the floor it would not allow the grass to grow so in the end we came up with the idea of buying foam mats which have small holes in. These mats allow the grass to grow through and the material which they are made from is not slippery in wet weather.

So far Maxwell has spent a lot of time in his playhouse and we are already coming up with more ideas for him to get lots more use out of it in the summer, some of our ideas including putting a plastic kitchen in their with perhaps a plastic chair. Everything which is put in the playhouse always manages to stay dry from the rain and as of yet nothing nasty has made its way into it.
The Little Tikes Playhouse is available to buy from Asda online and is priced at just £89, which I think is a fab price for such a high value product. Does your child have a favorite garden toy?
I did not receive any financial reward for writing this review. However we did receive the product for review purposes. Everything written in this post is my own, honest opinion.
