Sensitive skin type is one of the most complicated skin-type after Crocodiles' skin. I have soft corner for a crocodile because God, they live in puddles, lakes and all kind of dirty, deep water to have skin like that?But I can't do much about them!
So let me focus on my skin. My skin is funny, I laugh so hard that I cry!!
And one of such good reasons I am on a never ending quest of night creams that can soothe my skin and give some glow. And Vichy knocked the door! No wait, VICHY is one name in skincare department of India that promises taking a good care of all types of skin but they make Sensitive skin types very happy. I have tried their "Normaderm" day cream and it did wonders.
So I bought its night cream with a heaps of hopes!
Sadly, something went wrong with my hopes and what all it did is to slap my face with water based serum-y lotion, it felt so good and it smelled so divine that for a week I forgot why I bought it!
Nah, I am stupid but not that stupid. One day I was like, dude, are you going to do any good to my super sensitive skin? Since I didn't get any answer, I re-read the claims (you scroll down to see that) and continued for 3 more weeks.
Ugh!! hate to admit that it did nothing for my skin except hydrating it! This is light green water based moisturizer that seeps into the skin instantly and skin feels super soft all night long. When I wake up in the morning my skin looks hydrated but sensitive skins redness and patches remain as they were.
But this happens to me with lots of lotions and creams that they only hydrate and do not cure what they promise in claims like dealing with dull skin, rashes, sensitive skin patches etc. Though I can blame the product, I'd like to say my skin acts crazy sometimes, and do not accept them. Sometimes it gets the loving and it reciprocates, sometimes, it doesn't!
I don't blame this poor baby because it is working wonders for a few people that I know of!
Price: VICHY products prices are on higher side. When you are planning to spend on VICHY products, call it an investment. Be regular, disciplined and then decide if it is worth it or not.
