Life Lately

By Winyeemichelle
Daisybutter - Hong Kong Lifestyle and Fashion Blog: Discovery Bay

A glorified Instagram round-up complete with fairytale-style natterings. Gosh, I feel like all I ever write are these quaint little catch-ups but, yes, once again, I’ve been - uncharacteristically - insanely busy lately and have spent approximately 20 minutes at home and awake lately. Despite this, I’m surprisingly content and feeling like I’ve met a good balance of chilling the f out and squeezing in mini adventures. So much so that in fact, I think my primary goal of July will be to take one of my cameras out all the time so my next installment of these posts will include worthier snaps.
(Not that there’s anything wrong with Instagram eh? Giz a follow over at @winyeemichelle!)

Posted these snaps after arriving back in Hong Kong. Malaysia was so much fun but I had so many surplus photos to share! From left to right we have the natural hot springs in my hometown (the real secret behind excellent Chai skin), a beautiful Dior Beauté rose display and my cousin’s poodle pup Yumi.
Daisybutter - Hong Kong Lifestyle and Fashion Blog: Ipoh rojak

Finally got to eat Ipoh-famous rojak! So darn good.

Daisybutter - Hong Kong Lifestyle and Fashion Blog: iced latte recipe, Oreo coffee recipe

Back in Hong Kong, I picked up my brother and sister who visited for a week... (Daisybrother unpictured because he's camera shy!) Enjoyed this next-level amazing iced chocolate cookie latte at BEANS in Tsuen Wan. Drinkable Oreos with added caffeine and whipped cream is how I’d describe it.
Daisybutter - Hong Kong Lifestyle and Fashion Blog: Big Bang Made Tour 2015 in Hong Kong

I went to my second ever Big Bang concert! And it was the best night ever. Serious post-concert sadness set in and I’m trying to shake it off now. Bang Bang Bang is SO good live.

Simple photographs of Hong Kong. This is on the airport bus route in the New Territories. Check out that sky. It’s always little fleeting moments like these that remind me how lucky I am, to be here, to be alive, to be able to soak in the basking sun.

An outfit that I didn’t shoot. Lil strappy camisole from River Island, floaty shorts, my Topshop Fairy sandals, Chanel Boy and Alexander McQueen scarf.

We visited the local cat café again. No explanation needed, right? The cats and kittens here are super chilled, prancing around like they own the place or snoozing atop cat towers.
Daisybutter - Hong Kong Lifestyle and Fashion Blog: Victoria Peak

Obligatory cityscape and SQUAD photos from Victoria Peak. Hong Kong is even more beautiful by night. This is one of my favorite views and has been since I was tiny. I often wonder while up here whether I’ll ever be able to leave this city!

Some snaps from Discovery Bay at the weekend. Nothing beats pulling your trainers on, dosing up on mozzie repellent and trekking out. Honestly: I’m so, so lucky to live in this amazing country. City, mountain, rock and water.

More obligatory snaps, this time of the infamous Big Buddha. Still so breathtaking every time I come up here.
Daisybutter - Hong Kong Lifestyle and Fashion Blog: traditional HK egglet waffle

Took my little sister to get chocolate chip filled 雞蛋仔 (egglet waffles...?) at my favorite haunt: Oddies Foodies.
Daisybutter - Hong Kong Lifestyle and Fashion Blog:

My new liquid glitter Totoro phone case! Remind me to share a mini video of this in a shopping post soon!

Scoffing mochi ice-cream in bed with my sister whilst watching Jessica&Krystal again.

And last but not least, colleague snapshot update! Resort theme dressing for Sherry's birthday! *^o^*
