Letters to Littles:September 2011

By Smilinglikesunshine @smilinglikesuns
Inspired by Sausagemama and Zoie at TouchstoneZ, I am writing a monthly letter to my children. If you would like to join in or read others' letters, check out the linky here.
Letters to Littles:September 2011Dear Defne,
you are 4 years 10 months old now. This month you have started the reception class which brought a new rhythm to our lives. You settled in very easily, I am so proud of you!
You love your school and the first week you even mentioned you wanted to sleep there! You now spend most of the day at school and I miss you so much. When you come home, you are exhausted and I must admit a bit grumpy :) Grandma came to visit us and you enjoy playing with her and having her around. I also love that grandma is around so I can spend more one to one time with you, while she is looking after baby brother.
These days, you enjoy writing and dot-to-dot pictures. At the playground you like the climbing ropes and you play with them until you have blisters on your hands which reminds me I must buy protective gloves for you. Oh,and before I forget, this month you cracked riding your bike! You learnt it so fast, we were surprised actually. I guess your experience of balance bikes was a huge help.
Kiss,kiss

Dear Derin,
you are 21 months old. We had some difficult days and nights due to teething at the beginning of the month but it has passed now and you are your normal cheerful self.
You miss Defne while she is away at school and I love how happy you are when we are collecting her.
You enjoy Grandma taking you out and playing in the garden.
This month you have started  repeating lots of words after us. Your favorite songs are "wheels on the bus" and "incy wincy spider". You want to listen them again and again ; )
A few days ago I had a haircut and I love how you noticed it immediately and wanted to stroke my hair. You are so lovely. Speaking of hair, your hair has grown so much over the last months. I love your baby curls!
Kiss,kiss
