Letter: Your Call.

By Shivam Ralli @shivamralli167
It has been twenty years since that day. I still remember it vividly...
I was waiting outside a phone booth from half an hour before the time from when the call was to occur. I kept waiting. Waiting for your call.
When only two minutes were left, the snow began falling and I looked up, thanking God for what all had been given to me and how you were with me. I was feeling glad. After all, I was going to be married to you in a month.
I kept waiting for you call but it never arrived. It has been an hour since the destined time for the call and I was still waiting. I was desperate, sick and angry just for that call to arrive.
Yet, I stood there, as I was born to tell you that I love you. There wasn't a bigger motive in life for me, so I stood there. Maybe this was a test.
I began remembering the moments we spent together and how it felt to be there next to you. After all, I was going to do everything just to make you mine.
It had been two hours since the destined time for the call. I was tired and standing in this solitary place, I wanted to go back home.
Yet, I still stood.
It was only after four hours from that time that I went  home. I opened the door and there was a simple note which said: 'I am leaving, hope you have a successful life and find someone better than me'...
She left me. She thought that I would find someone better than her and she found herself inadequate to be with me.
It has been twenty years, and yet I go everyday at the destined time to the phone booth, in the hope that she will come back to me.
I will survive for her,
~till the end. Letter: Your Call. Letter: Your Call. Letter: Your Call. Letter: Your Call. Letter: Your Call. Letter: Your Call.
