Legendary Jazz Singer Nancy Wilson Has Died. She Was 81
Legendary Jazz singer, Nancy Wilson passed away Thursday. She was 81.
Wilson passed away peacefully Thursday at her home after a long illness, her manager Devra Hall Levy said. Growing up in Ohio, Wilson started singing in church choirs, and in her grandmother’s house.  She knew at an early age that she wanted to be a singer. The award winning singer, who was known as a “song stylist,” mastered story telling through song.

“I have a gift for telling stories, making them seem larger than life,” she told The Los Angeles Times in 1993. “I love the vignette, the plays within the song.”

Our condolences to the Wilson family.
