Leave No Trace

By Switpie @SwitPaie

“Leave no trees?”

It’s a long story why we call it that way. In short, we just had some fun during our climb. No did not cut out some trees. We infact helped cleaning up the area.

It was a great experience climbing up that peak. I did not expect that much fog though I was told that it’s a very cold place. It was indeed very cold especially at dawn. My jacket was suppose to be warm enough but it was not at all. It feels like I was in Sweden again or Cyprus but in a different environment.

I had some fun with my colleagues as they share their experiences as they climb some areas. We talked about possible and almost impossible things that really happens. I met new set of friends and it was fun since they welcomed us. And it was cool.

The peak was so wonderful that it made me think how did it happened to be like that? Was the area came out from an earthquake long time ago? I have been to chocolate hills and Chocolate Hills are just like mushrooms sprung out of the meadows, but the Osmena Peak is different. It seems like a large area that was cracked from an earthquake [could be] that it was then formed like an upside down cones. It’s really amazing.
