Two family members have had breast and ovarian cancer (both survivors at this point), three very close friends have had breast and ovarian cancer (both still battling and hope to add them to my survivors list), an uncle died of it when I was a teen and he died in my arms. I have a number of authors I’ve become friends with since publishing who have had it (one has recently entered hospice). All women except for my uncle.
Why did you participate in the LAST HERO STANDING fundraiser for fellow author Pamela Clare?
I was talking to my friend Norah Wilson about Pamela’s situation and the idea of donating all the proceeds from a box set developed from this conversation. Norah and I agreed to split up the production duties, but it’s the team of authors that came together that has made all the difference in this box set reaching as many people as possible. I’m in awe of our group and thankful to have all this power behind a project that will help one of our own.
