lara-pulverLara Pulver,  who played Sookie’s faery godmother, Claudine on True Blood is joining the cast of “Spooks: The Greater Good” in the part of Erin.

Spooks: The Greater Good, is the big-screen version of the British TV series Spooks, and has been given an official release date in the UK. The film that also stars Game Of Thrones actor Kit Harington will be released across the country on the 8th of May, 2015.

Below is the official plot synopsis, which has also just been released.

When charismatic terrorist Adam Qasim (Elyes Gabel) escapes from MI5 custody during a high profile handover, the legendary Harry Pearce (Peter Firth), Head of Counter-terrorism, is blamed. Disgraced and forced to resign, no-one’s surprised when Harry disappears one night off a bridge into the Thames…

With MI5 on its knees in the wake of the Qasim debacle and facing controversial reform, former agent Will Holloway (Kit Harington) is brought back from Moscow to uncover the truth they feared – Harry’s still alive. He’s gone rogue, and needs Will’s help.

Digital Spy decided it was time to learn more about Erin, so we went to have a bit of a sit down with Lara. Read on to get some hints about the show, discover which character Erin has an “attraction” with, and find out how she handled running in heels…

In an interview with Digital Spy, Lara talks about her part in the film.  Part of that interview is below:

So, in a sentence, what’s Erin like?

“Erin is ambitious, driven, dutiful – I’d say she has strong morals and I would say she’s very grounded. That was nearly a sentence!”

In the first episode we see a softer side to her – does that continue?

“Yes, yes. You get to explore more of her personal and emotional journey.”

Her job isn’t easy for her, is it?

“No. I think just going to work every day knowing the situation and the circumstances she’s in with her personal life as another layer, I think yeah, it does add another element to things.”

Harry’s forced to keep her on – how do they get on?

“Yeah, he’s not allowed to run Section D without me for the time being. I think there’s a huge respect and a huge admiration from Erin. I think he warms to her and decides to kind of guide her and take her under his wing to a certain degree.

“There’s a nice scene in episode two, I think it is, of them just sitting down and having a chat about how they feel in regards to their families and their life and what this job entails, and I think they end up being hugely respectful and hugely warm and genuine towards each other.”
