How’s the weather at your side? It’s still so hot here and I don’t feel like doing anything in this weather *lazy me* I’m waiting desperately for winters to arrive and so for my new camera. 

Yayy I would be so happy when I trash this camera and get a new one in my hands Let’s move on to my today’s review without blabbering much…

Product Claims:

Lakme Sun Expert Fairness + UV Lotion SPF 24 & PA++ is a light feel expert solution to provide broad spectrum protection from UVA & UVB rays and helps you get fairer, glowing skin.

• SPF 24 shields UVB rays that cause sunburns
• PA++ shield UVA rays that cause dark spots, premature aging and skin darkening
• Cucumber and lemograss extracts with skin lightening properties and vitamin B3 help lighten the skin tone on regular use

Price: Rs 225 for 120 ml

Usage: Smooth onto face and exposed parts of the skin at least 20 minutes before sun exposure. Give it a minute or two to be absorbed into the skin before applying any makeup.

My Take on Lakme Sun Expert Fairness + UV Lotion SPF 24:

The sunscreen has a smooth creamy texture and it spreads and absorbs easily within few seconds of application. It doesn’t take much time to absorb into the skin ike most sunscreens and absorbs pretty quick. It is perfect for oily to combination skin types as it lightly moisturizes without making skin greasy but yeah it isn’t moisturizing enough for dry skin as my skin feels dehydrating after 10-15 minutes of applying this sunscreen. I’m using this sunscreen on my hands, face and on my feet and I feel the need to use another body lotion after I have used this sunscreen as my hands and face are feeling dry in this weather but it didn’t feel drying in summer months!

I use it soon after taking bath generally as a moisturizer and SPF 24 is good enough for protecting me from harmful sun rays when indoors. I don’t apply this sunscreen while moving out of the house as I rely on higher SPF for outdoors so can’t really say how good it is in preventing sun tan or sun burn but yeah SPF 24 is good enough for everyday use and if you don’t spend much time outdoors. As for the fairness claims, they are all false as I haven’t seen any fairer or glowing effect in my skin since I have started using this sunscreen. Companies have got habitual to making big claims for their products and that’s why they use terms like brighter, fairer, whiter skin on every product to get consumers attracted but don’t worry when we bloggers are here to guide you on every product then why fall into the trap of these false claims The lemongrass and vitamin B3 in it might prevent from sun tanning as they have lightening properties but giving fairer skin, I don’t really think it’s possible as these ingredients are last in the ingredient list which means very small amount of them have been used which would neither make you fair or give you glowing skin.
The sunscreen doesn’t leave a white caste, now that’s a plus point and it doesn’t make skin greasy but it won’t work for dry skin. It would be a good option for you if you use makeup on a daily basis as it feels very light and doesn’t leave a white caste. It has a nice refreshing fragrance which I think might be of lemongrass but is soon vanishes after 5-10 minutes.

Cons of Lakme Sun Expert Fairness + UV Lotion SPF 24:

• Fairness claims are false!
• Can be a bit drying for dry skin.
• SPF 24 is not for me when moving out, it’s an indoor sunscreen for me.
