If you are following me on my Instagram, you would probably know that I am currently loving the La Roche Posay Effaclar range as it works magic for my skin. I using the face wash and the duo plus cream for the past few months. This month I made an addition to the range by using the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Astringent Lotion Micro-Exfoliant Toner. I am going to review this toner in this post.
Effaclar Clarifying Lotion helps to eliminate remaining excess oil, unblock pores and visibly reduce their size. Contains LHA's (Lipo-Hydroxy-Acid).
Astringent micro-exfoliating lotion helps instantaneously reduce pore size and fight against blockage, thanks to the combination of sebum-regulating and purifying ingredients as well as micro-exfoliating LHA.
My take on the product
Packaging: La Roche-Posay Astringent Toner comes in a long and sleek cylindrical bottle with a flip open cap. The toner comes in a blue colored transparent bottle which is made of unbreakable plastic. The bottle is quite sturdy and travel-friendly.
Consistency/ Fragrance: La Roche-Posay Astringent Toner like water and has a mild cleansing spirit type fragrance.
Apply mornings and evenings to the face using a soaked cotton ball, after cleansing and drying the skin.
Does the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Astringent Lotion Micro-Exfoliant Toner live up to all claims?
Unblock pores and visibly reduce their size: Yes, it unclogs and unblocks pores. My face looks visibly clean and smooth. it mildly reduces the size of pores. It also helps in reducing excess oil and sebum.
La Roche-Posay Effaclar Astringent Lotion Micro-Exfoliant Toner, unlike other toners, did not dry out my skin. After using it my skin feels smooth and moisturized, the toner works perfectly in winters too. La Roche-Posay Effaclar Astringent Lotion Micro-Exfoliant Toner removes all the dirt and gunk from the face and also works great as a make remover.
Final Recommendation
La Roche-Posay Effaclar Astringent Lotion Micro-Exfoliant Toner is by far one of the best and the most effective toner. I will recommend this to all those who have oily to combination skin. If you suffer from open and clogged pores this is meant for you.
