L’Oreal Shine Caresse Bella 604

By Sparklingker @sparklingker

Happy Saturday everyone!! Woke up extra early to blog today, which is rather unusual for me! Today I have a review of the L’Oreal Shine Caresse in Bella 604. The lovely Ling from The Best Beauty Blog was in Hong Kong a couple of months ago and she helped me get it.

According to L’Oreal:

the unique formula comprised of 30% water and 60% oil provides an exceptionally high level of moisture, allowing for 6hr hydration. Concentrated soluble color pigments create a subtle wet look with a weightless feeling on lips.

When I first saw the packaging, I thought wow this is fancy stuff for a drugstore product. The packaging is a slim metallic plastic casing. It was a bit of a pain to take photos of it. I had to carefully position the camera so I wouldn’t get my own reflection on there.

The applicator is tear shaped, great for getting around the cupids bow and hard to get to places. The texture of the product is a watery gel like consistency.L'Oreal Colour Caresse Shine

Here’s a photo of the shine on my hand. The color is on the sheer side but I don’t mind since I’m not into bright colours (doesn’t look nice on my thick lips).

When the shine comes off, it does leave a light stain. I found that when you first apply it, it’s quite hydrating but as the day progresses it starts to get a bit drying. Sometimes I would put on lip balm before I apply the Shine Caresse but I found that the stain doesn’t really work that well. So the dilemma I have is “have slightly drier lips or moisturise and have less lip stain?” I know, I definitely want another color but haven’t decided which one yet. I’m pretty sure these are available in Australia now, so check them out!

Have you tried L’Oreal Shine Caresse? What did you think?
