Knoxville International Biscuit Festival Takes Place This Weekend

Knoxville’s International Biscuit Festival is upon us once again. This year it takes place on on May 18th to May 20 in Market Square. For three days, downtown Knoxville celebrates all things biscuit. Whether you’ve gone every year or this will be your first year, this is an event that you will not want to miss.

One of the most popular events is Biscuit Boulevard. This part of the festival allows attendees to sample the delicious creations from any of the vendors. One ticket allows you to sample five different biscuit creations. Tickets can be purchased for $15 on the day of the event. Biscuit Boulevard is open on May 20th from at 9:00 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Vendors come from all over to participate in the Knoxville International Biscuit Festival. While you will find many local vendors, you will also find other vendors from cities all over the country.

Here are just a few of the vendors participating in Biscuit Boulevard:

For the fifth time, Southern Living will kick off the festival with the two day Southern Food Writing Conference. For two days, attendees of the conference will hear from a range of speakers about food in the South along with Southern food traditions. The writer’s conference is open to any food blogger, writer, or food enthusiast.

On Friday night, Biscuit Bash takes place to celebrate the end of the South Food Writing Conference. It allows the public to meet and greet the writers who attended the writer’s conference. Tickets can be purchased for $75 online. Biscuit Bash takes place that the Standard at Knoxville. The event is from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets include food and three drink tokens. This years dinner is catered by Jeffrey Dalejandro of Oli Bea. At the end of the evening, attendees will here live music from East Nashville based artist Aaron Lee Tasjan.

In addition, there is a Biscuit Bazaar takes play on Saturday, May 20th. It runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  The Biscuit Bazaar allows attendees to look at some of the most popular biscuit products from around the region. Browsing the Biscuit Bazaar is completely free for anyone.
